Comin' down the tree: A cowboy style Christmas song :)

Hello! I'm sure you're thinking about Christmas at school and that you are ready to sing with your students a great and modern Christmas song.
I've found this one.
I think it would work with children from the second cycle of Primary Education.
You can prepare a choreography and ask them to sing and dance this modern Christmas song :).
It includes the lyrics so you all can sing it in the class :D

Christmas doors in Méntrida: They did it and it worked!

Hello!!! Today I want to introduce you the great work that some colleagues from Luis Solana school have done for Christmas.
Pilar is a friend of mine and she saw the ideas I published on the blog, so she decided to do it in her school with the other teachers.
The result couldn't be better :D. I'm proud of them all and I really like seeing how people use the ideas I share in my blogs in the best way :D.

Congrats to all of them, and thank you for the great job they've done!!
I think it's interesting to see how others put on practice the things we suggest.

To be sincere, I must say that I'm not ready for Christmas yet... but anyway, it's a good time to think about WHAT we want to do in our lessons before Christmas time.

Let's write and sing our own CHRISTMAS CAROL!!!

Queridos amigos:
Algunas personas me habéis pedido ideas y sugerencias para cantar esta Navidad en el colegio.
Ante todo os diría que podemos usar nuestra imaginación y hasta quizás escribir nuestro propio CHRISTMAS CAROL con los niños :). Utilizando el vocabulario básico que penséis enseñar este año en la escuela, ¿por qué no idear vuestro propio villancico? Será divertido y especial, además de único.


La idea consiste en utilizar una melodía de un christmas carol ya conocido, pero transformar su letra en algo más personal para vosotros y vuestros niños. ¿Qué os parece?, ¿nos atrevemos? :-D.


Os propongo algunas melodías fáciles, como las siguientes:


1.- Frosty, the snowman
2.- Jingle bells
3.-Rudolph, the red nosed reindeer
4.-Santa Claus is coming to town
5.-We wish you a merry christmas
