Discovering the Planets ;)

Hello there! In 5 years old we're studying the Solar System and our planet among others so I have thought it would be interesting to write a post for this topic too.
You will see some interesting games, songs and ideas to be done at home.
The most important thing is to understand things in a funny way!
Enjoy them all and have a wonderful week!
Love,
Daniela A. Ayala Molinari.

ScienceNetLinks: A great website to find educative apps ;)

Hi hello!!!

Here I am again with great news! My baby was born last 25th March, and this is the reason why I haven't written anything during the last months. So sorry for that, but he still needs us almost the 24 hours a day.

Anyway, I found this website and in this great relax moment I decided to share the link with you.

You all know how good mobile devices are in education and how I love them, don't you?
Today, I invite you all to visit this website: ScienceNetLinks.
It has a lot of apps to be used in the science class, and they're organised according to age, level and use.

I will try with some of them!!

Clic on the LINK to see the website.

See you in a next post then!

A big hug,
teacher Daniela Ayala.

This video shows how CURIOSITY works.

Este robot llamado Curiosity, ha recorrido ni más ni menos que 567 millones de kilómetros. Esta mañana aterrizó sano y salvo en MARTE, listo para llevar a cabo su misión.

Let's pray for Japan: What's a Tsunami?

Dear friends,
the world is really sad these days because of the earthquake and tsunami happened in Japan. We don't really want this happen again.

I pray for Japan everyday!!

Today, I want to show you two ways of teaching Tsunamis in our class. My students ask me to show them videos and things so as to know what a tsunami is and what to do in that situation.

Here you've got same basic ideas,

Take care,

Daniela A. Ayala M.

Unit 7.- PUSHES AND PULLS

PUSHES AND PULLS

Daniela A. Ayala M.

Our Science Project!! Matter and changes of state

Dear friends,
During these last weeks, we were working on the didactic unit MATTER.

One of the main items was MATTER AND CHANGES OF STATE.

My students know that there are three states in matter: Solid, liquid and gas.

Taking into account this and the different names of changes of state ( melting, solidification, boiling, evaporation, condensation, sublimation),They had to make a cake and explain what the changes are when we cook it.

It's an observation project but it's also a reinforcement of the knowledge they've acquired in the last days.

I have to say THANK YOU to their parents, because I know they helped them a lot with this.

Some students didn't make a cake, but they investigate the task on the internet.

I would like you to have a look at these two examples of projects :)

Thank you for following me!!
