Reading Corners

A BEAUTIFUL READING CORNER IN THE CLASS

Hi!! How are you? Today it seems that spring has left us for a few days... we're in autumn again ;) hehehe.
I don't know why, but today I'm in the mood to talk about CORNERS in the ENGLISH CLASS.
Let's start today by the READING CORNER.


It's interesting to have a place in our class where our students can find English books, and show their interest for this second language.


We can  use this corner specially when students finish their homework, an exam or whatever other task we are doing at this moment in the class.


Sometimes, we forget corners... and we leave them just for infant education. But... I think it's a terrible mistake.


We can prepare a specific space at the back of the class, showing the books on boxes. We can also label the boxes depending on the topic of our books...These are just some basic ideas I've got, you know?


What do you think about it?  I think we can change things together... there's no need to have the books all the time in the library, don't you think so? Would you like to have a READING CORNER in your class?
How can you organize it?

Happy Father's Day

Daniela's class os desea a todos los papás un feliz día :-D

Today it's celebrated Father's Day in Spain, but I always say it's also grandpa's day ;) 

We prepared a beautiful mandala in our English class, and we also added a beautiful poem for our fathers.

It's nice to see how children do these things and create different artistic techniques :D

Today we all want to say, HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!

Víctor is my daddy, the best of the world ;) 

so...daddy, I love you!! thanks for being there whenever I need you.

Forces Project: More examples

Hello!!! I'm so happy today, specially because I've checked many science homework and they're excellent ;). It's great to see how their first project on their computers works in a so good way.:D

17th of March, Happy Saint Patrick's Day!!

Today is the best day to put on your green clothes and feel "green" for a day, I mean, feel Irish.  :P

Saint Patrick's Day is specially celebrated in Ireland, but we should remember that in many other countries people also celebrate this day.

So, why don't we celebrate it too??  I wish you could find the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow,he, he, he.

This year, I invite you to have a look at this video,made by Eric Herman, the best one!! Listen to it carefully, I'm sure you will love it too.

Let's pray for Japan: What's a Tsunami?

Dear friends,
the world is really sad these days because of the earthquake and tsunami happened in Japan. We don't really want this happen again.


I pray for Japan everyday!!

Tagus river (Río Tajo) Problems and solutions: Comenius Project 2011

Dear friends,
during this course, we've been working about this topic, and our children of  years 5 and 6 have been working on the different problems we can find in Tagus river and the solutions that are cadequate for these problems.

¡Hola a todos! Es esta unidad que estamos trabajando, La fuerza y el movimiento, voy a incluir algunas nociones básicas como el concepto de :  push and pull.

Lo que me viene genial para el área de science como clil, dado que  así evitamos en un futuro confundir push and pull :)

Los niños realizarán esta actividad (clic en la imagen) y después llevaremos a cabo otros ejercicios en unas fichas ya dadas.

De ese modo afianzarán los conceptos.

¡Espero que os guste esta idea para llevar a la práctica en el aula con la ayuda de la PDI!
