I've got a friend who is a magician: MAGO RUBINI

Dear friends,
Thanks God, the surprise I was thinking about during the last month is ready ;) and of course, I would like you to have a look at the video to watch everything ;).
I'll copy from my other blog the contents so as to have a basic idea of what I did and why ;).
Lots of kisses and thanks for reading me,

Teacher Daniela A. Ayala M.

Queridos amigos:

Daniela Andrea Ayala Molinari (MaestraconPDI)

22nd of APRIL: Earth's Day!!

Today, 22nd of APRIL, it's celebrated Earth's Day all around the world.
It's a good day to tell children the importance of being responsible and take care of the environment.
I suggest you some activities to do with children because of the Earth Day:
First of all you we can watch this video to make them understand why this day is so important.

Then, we can read this story and ask them some questions:

After that, depending on their age, you can ask them to do: a wordsearch or colour some nice pictures.
You can also make some crafts with them, such as the ones I show you here.

At the end, we can give children this nice award  ;)
I'm sure children will love all these activities!!

Lots of kisses,

Daniela A. Ayala M.

Celebrate Easter cooking TORRIJAS!!

Hello!! Today I'm going to show you how you can cook delicious TORRIJAS.
Torrijas are a delicious dessert that you can find all around Spain during Easter.
You can also suggest your students to cook them with their family, following your instructions ;)
  • Torrijas recipe:
Ingredients:
  • 1 l of milk
  • a bar of bread ( cut it on slices)
  • six soup spoons of sugar
  • olive oil to fry
  • 2 eggs
  • honey
  • cinnamon
Preparation time: 1 hour
Difficulty: Easy

Preparation:

Cut a large loaf of bread for 'torrijas' in fairly thick slices (you can also use special ready sliced bread).Mix the milk and sugar in a deep bowl. Beat the eggs in a separate dish. Dip the slices of bread in the sugared milk and eggs and fry in a pan with boiling oil until golden brown. Then drain well.
Place the 'torrijas' on a serving dish and pour honey over them. It is also traditional to add the sugared milk to the serving dish so that the 'torrijas' soak it up and become more spongy.
Now, they're ready to be eaten!!
Enjoy your meal!!! ;)

Kisses and hugs,

Daniela A. Ayala M.

Homework (for my students) : Using your computer, click on the internet http://wordreference.com , then le'ts look for all the words which are highlighted in this message and write them in your English notebook. Finally, try to write your own recipe and send it to me by email ;)

Meeting the Explorers with Nina Lauder

Nina Lauder, an explorer and me ;)

Hello dear friends! Today I've had a wonderful time in Toledo, because I meet NINA LAUDER , a nice and funny English teacher who told us the more important items to be considered when teaching English.

Nina Lauder is one of the authors of  the serie Explorers, so I would like you to have a look at her blog to know more about her and her work.

Oxford publishing has created Explorers and I really like it, because of the variety of activities and the good resources we as teachers can have.

Explorers take into account all the different skills, as well as the key competences, diversity, and everything that is  included in our legal framework ...

Just have a look at the LINK.

Nowadays, there are lots of schools which have digital boards in their classrooms, so it's great for us to get course books that also have digital resources, don't you think so?

In this case, Explorers have a wonderful digital feauture to show our students everything we can imagine!!

Of course, this is just and opinion ;)

Thank you Nina for your sense of humor and kindness ;) good luck!!!

Kisses,

Daniela A. Ayala Molinari

PS: I'll tell you more about my other meeting on Tuesday the 5th of March during the weekend ;)Byeee!

Our new project: Means of transport "showing you some ideas..."

Means of transport

Dear children,
I just want you to have a look at some of these examples. Then, you can decide what transport you like best.
This is my favourite transport: AN HYBRID CAR.

Hybrid means that  these cars are  run off with a rechargeable battery and gasoline, rather than just gasoline emissions because the hybrid engine draws on the battery and not gasoline when accelerating. Hybrid gasoline motors can shut off when the car is stopped and run off their electricity.
Also, they are good for the environment.

Don't forget that this is for next Monday the 11th.

Lots of kisses,

PS: Traed recortes de revistas, periódicos, internet o propios dibujos para el lunes, sobre medios de transporte. No importa en qué medio se muevan ni a qué era pertenezcan ;-)
¡gracias!
teacher Daniela

Fairy tales on youtube

Hello everybody!!

Nowadays, we're lucky because thanks to the internet we can find lots of resources; Resources that really help us in our daily teaching routine.

One of the best things for children are fairy tales, specially if they're told with music, voices, images, etc...

Also, it's good that you teachers subscribe to some youtube channels so as to get the newest videos on your email.
There're lots of people who have channels and add videos that can be used in your lessons.

Just try to write some topic words on youtube and you will find what you are looking for.

This is just an example, but at the same time a good help for you all when telling stories.

Enjoy!!
